Great Wall Simatai, how to book the trip with localnoodles staff???

Hi all,
I Just subscribed to localnoodles. With 2 of my friend, we'd like to book the Great Wall Simatai hiking and camping overnight, for the next week end, so August 8th and 9th.
I saw the reviews,

I even saw a nice video,

But I don't know how to book this trip "with the localnoodles staff" as mentioned in many feedback.
Any tips? Perhaps a group is already on the go for this hiking. 3 additionnal person could be great!

| Jean, thank you for your inquiry. Sadly, we are no longer running tours to the Great Wall. At this time we are not able to recommend alternatives however would advise you understand the service level differences between local and Western run operations before making your choice. Best of luck! |

| Hi the Great Wall at Simatai has been closed for major renovation from June 2010. The renovation is estimated to last 3 years, I recommended you can hiking to Mutianyu Great Wall:) |

Update on the Jinshanling --> Simatai Great Wall trips. Because localnoodles ran nearly two summers of trips, we still receive lots of inquiries however, due to circumstances that can only be labeled as Chinese on Chinese infighting using foreigners as bait, it is now ILLEGAL to camp on that stretch of the Wall.
Other sections of the wall are still open to camping. |
