If you like Korean BBQ, you'll love Han Na Shan. I dare you to find better "yang pai" (lamb cutlets) anywhere else.
Service is professional and the locations I've frequented have always been clean. |

My bff and I love to go out for KBBQ together. This is one of our favorites!
Depending on which one you go to, Han na shan can be a dive. My favorite one isn’t that bad and while the bathrooms need help, the food is fantastic. We came in here for an early dinner, and we stayed for about two hours. We were also massively hung over, so were moving at a slow pace.
Here's what I love -
* Charcoal grill - oh yes.
* Tender and flavorful beef.
* Awesome veggie assortment. Typically, when I go to a Korean restaurant, I like to eat veggies more than the main course. Han na shan puts out several different kinds of kimchees, pickled greens, mini savory pancakes and Korean style potato salad.
* Condiments. Their fermented soy bean paste is fantastic.
* I think they improved their ventilation.
* Open until I get tired.
* I think their cold buckwheat noodles in beef broth are pretty good.
* If you’re lucky, Korean pop songs in the background. It's hilarious.
hungover or not, han na shan makes me happy

I must confess that Korean bbq is not my favorite food, I find it a bit taste less, but some of my friends really enjoy it, specially cause it reminds them of the bbqs back home, with the difference that we use natural charcoal, do it outside and with big steaks instead of small pieces of everything.. but ok the concept still more or less the same.
So over the weekend we went to this place.. and here is the review... the staff was rather pushy on us to eat fast and kept turning the food on the grill at their discretion, then they start mixing the seafood with the beef and vegetables, they didn't care that we asked them not to do it and leave us cook it our own way!!!
Quality and freshness.- Thee beef, lamb, and vegetables were descent, but the seafood not really.
My advice avoid the octopus... |
