I love cheese ,more the merrier.

The pizzas are big here and for a decent eater like me and few of my friends we love keep coming here.

We avoid weekends at its a mad house, guys smoking at all places, and falling on each other.

You should instruct the waiter to inform we want the best pizzas and should be baked well, if not sometimes they dont bake it well !

Its value for money.

Kro's Nest continues to be the leader in "real shit" American pizza in Beijing. I highly recommend their PMB (Pepperoni, Mushroom, Black Olive). Not only is the pizza big, the grease minimal. It's unfortunate that most people in China associate pizza with a certain big American chain. Kro's Nest is helping to bring real pizza to BeiJing!

Service at all branches is consistently good. The owner, Kro, has done his best to instill a Western-oriented customer service mindset in his staff. Of course, it's always welcome if you can say at a least a few words or phrases in Chinese while ordering your dishes.

As for sides, you can't go wrong with the onion rings or french fries. If you're going to order pizza I would recommend avoiding the cheese sticks. You really don't need that much cheese!

Kro's Nest has a huge selection of local and imported beer. A number of branches offer various happy hour type promotions. As for me, I feel their screwdriver is one of the best in Beijing!

I was also pleased to see that they recently started offering a lunch promotion for only 50 kuai (small pizza, salad, drink). You really can't beat it!

The location near the MuDanYuan subway station (Beitai PingZhuangQiao Branch) is nice in that the clientele is a bit more local. Honestly, I've never been that big of a fan of the cold, impersonal feeling of the GongTi location.

Bottom line: Kro's Nest is THE place to go for pizza in BeiJing.

Kro’s Nest Pizza is a place that all Beijing-dwelling pizza lovers must try at least once…. it’s really that simple!

My husband and I are characteristically divided on what constitutes a “good” pizza, and who makes the best one. It is with this mixed point of view that we went off to review Kro’s Nest Pizza at Ping Zhaung Qiao Branch.

Richard likes a thick crust, with lots of meat, and believes anything that swims in the sea, or grows on a tree, has no place on his pizza. I am the exact opposite… no pizza crust can really be too thin for me, I will happily load on pineapples and olives, and I would typically prefer seafood to meat. So, how did we do at Kros’s Nest? Put simply, we both loved it!

The trick for us was actually finding the Ping Zhaung branch. But once we found it (on the South East Corner of Bei Tai Ping Bridge, less than a half of a kilometer from the Badling expressway) we could now find it again effortlessly!

The décor is sparse and simple, and early Sunday evening there were only a few other tables filled. However, Kro’s is definitely not lacking ambiance. With low lighting, warm battered woods, and unadorned Beijing posters tacked here and there, Kro’s offers a simplicity that allows them to focus on the real reason people come here: great pizza, huge portions, good drinks, reasonable prices!

Our servers were warm and friendly, and always available, without hovering. The menu, in newspaper format, surrounded their listings of salads, appetizers, drinks and pizzas with humorous tongue-in-cheek articles on U.S. politics, as well as spotlighting more serious endeavors, such as the Kro’s Nest partnership with CMC (Compassion for Migrant Children).

Service was amazingly fast for both food and drinks. Our server, Xiao Liu, was convinced that we should try the BBQ Chicken Wings (32 rmb for 6) and they certainly were fine. Our Garbage Pail Pizza, however, was truly amazing (154 rmb for a Medium…which is undoubtedly a Large anywhere else)! Although it broke both Richard’s and my preconceived rules on what a perfect pizza should be, it was delicious, and like no other pizza that either of us have had in Beijing. Loaded with every single topping from their pizza menu (other than Salmon), the flavors blended together nicely, the cheese was not overdone, we could not find an extra drop of oil on the pizza and although thick-crusted, the crust was delicious and easy to eat (although to attack this gargantuan pizza, you really must use a knife and fork)! Kro’s also offers 16 different pizza types, including 5 different vegetarian pizzas, as well as giving you the option to choose your own toppings for your pizza. Thin-crusted pizzas are also available, and you can choose to have your crust sprinkled with oil, parmesan and oregano.

Kro’s Nest also offers exceptional specials (like opening a free keg of beer on a first-come first-served basis each Tuesday). Sadly, there were no dessert offerings listed on the menu… however the likely assumption is that after finishing their pizza most people would be way too full for dessert!

Thank you to Kro’s Nest, and to Local Noodles, for inviting us to try this pizza. Without this invitation we may have accidentally missed this opportunity to try Kro’s Nest. Now that we have tried it, we will definitely be back!
