Beijing's newest bar is also fast becoming a favorite spot of mine. Located in a hard to find and undeveloped part of Worker's Stadium, it's made harder to find because its lacking any outside signage or any hint of what you'll find inside (for those looking, head to Stand 10 on the southeast side of Worker'S Stadium and look for the Stadium Dog signs).
It definitely captures the speakeasy feel its going for, you go down a flight of stairs and then hit a button and voila, you enter the underground bar and another world. Inside, you'll find lots of reds and blacks, I love the tables on the 2nd level, with their nice antique feel to them.
As the other reviewer noted, all the alcohol is top notch and at RMB30 for a real good rum, gin, or vodka, plus a mixer, you're getting one of the city's best bargains.
Due to its hidden spot, the crowd's minimal and the noise level is perfect for a conversation, though there's laid back jazz in the background. This isn't a place to watch a game as there's no tv, instead its the perfect spot to relax over a drink with some friends and have a real conversation.
