This place is so promising.... but just doesn't quite cut the mustard.
The interior of the venue itself has been done quite nicely, very simple yet cosy and the bar gives that nice 'wine bar' vibe, where you can sit at the high bar stools and swig whisky (it has a fantastic range of predominantly Scotch Whisky's). However, we were very disappointed with the effort on the rooftop, clearly a very rushed job. Such a shame as it could be a great spot.
Now to the food.... I had the chicken pesto pasta and (in agreement with the previous reviewer) I thought this was pretty good and very good value for money. However, my 2 friends didn't have quite so much luck. One ordered the chicken salad.... and she was faced with literally, just some chicken and green lettuce. NOTHING else. She asked for a bit of tomato and cucumber to add to the salad, which in fairness they brought out no probs.... but surely, it would be obvious that just green lettuce won't cut it?! Maybe not. Next my girlfriend had the vegetable sandwich.... overall just ok. Pretty bland and kinda chinesey bread.
One redeeming factor were the drinks.... fresh OJ, Fresh Pear juice and a well made coffee all got the thumbs up.
I don't think I'll go back to eat here in a hurry, but will probably pop in to sample some of it's whiskys!
