This was a disappointing experience. Bellagio has made me a fan of Taiwanese cooking which is the reason i visited. The Wangfujing area next to Tiananmen is short on nightlife with The Courtyard at the Forbidden City east gate entrance being the only notable destination.
Taking the ill advised recommendation of a different online city guide riven with press releases I thought Ding Tai would be a good go. I ordered the sizzling beef, kungpao chicken and rice that never made it out of the kitchen. The beef came in a griddle swimming in a light brown liquid that best resembled dirty dishwater. There were some onion slices that had'nt been cooked thru. The chicken was OK but could have had more chicken in it.
As for the service, well, they did forget the rice but were friendly enough and the interior, while basic, looked notably clean. Head for the food court on the upper floors of the big APM mall instead.
