You could be fooled into thinking that this place answered an imaginary ad which began "Desperately seeking children's entertainment..."
If you have an energetic toddler who won't keep still, but who enjoys music, try taking him or her to Afunti.
The whole experience is pretty child-friendly. You reserve a table, are welcomed by the staff who seem genuinely happy you came along, you order your food (chicken skewers with no chilli were popular on our table), and then the performance begins. OK, for those if us who have been in Beijing since Jurassic times, it's a bit old hat, but for little 'uns it is truly fabulous; they will sit enrapt. There is a man with a large drum, dancers with bowls (full of water) on their heads (who dance in unison), kungfu, bellydancing, and a snake. For those of you with hidden talent, there are opportunities to get up on stage and make a fool of yourself, and opportunities to win stuff (you have to put your namecard in a large box). Just as things are winding down, and you are packing away sippy cups, half eaten biscuits, spare clothes, and generally preparing to leave, they crank up the techno and everyone gets up on the stage and on tables and starts dancing. A piece of advice, leave before this happens, otherwise, you will never get your children to bed!
